Story Tower
In 2013 I participated in RTU International Architecture Summer School. Together we designed and built a structure called the Story Tower.
This timber tower clad in Tetra Pak food packaging now houses a temporary library and a book exchange in a small town Cesis, Latvia.
The frame and floor were made from locally-sourced soft timber, while recycled Tetra Pak juice cartons were folded, cut and mounted to create the waterproof roof shingles.
We spent two weeks designing the miniature library and built it over three and a half days.
